The seven-acre complex comprises 1,023 apartments in seven 17-story buildings surrounded by landscaped grounds. Location

Parallel to the Brooklyn Bridge entrance and bordered to the west by the Brooklyn Heights historical district, to the north by DUMBO, and to the east and south by a revitalized Downtown Brooklyn, Concord Village is superbly situated. In addition to the beautifully landscaped grounds, public parks abound. Cadman Plaza Park, Columbus Park and McLaughlin Park are steps away. Brooklyn Bridge Park, characterized by its exquisite view of the East River bridges and Manhattan skyline, is also a short walk from Concord Village. Access to transportation is unmatched. One subway station (A/C) is virtually on-site and others (2/3, 4/5, F, N, and R) are within a few blocks, as are many bus lines. The lower Manhattan Financial District is one subway stop away, although many residents who work in that area walk or bike across the Brooklyn Bridge. Midtown Manhattan is approximately a 20-minute subway trip. Downtown Brooklyn and Brooklyn Heights were centers of commerce and government historically. Currently, the areas surrounding Concord Village, particularly Downtown Brooklyn and DUMBO, are undergoing a revival. As they are modernized for today's economy, whether through new construction or the repurposing of pre-existing structures, employment opportunities and incentives for entrepreneurship are expanding exponentially.

Service, Safety, and Security

The full-service co-op has a staff of over 60 employees, including full-time doormen, porters, handymen, and two maintenance supervisors living on-site. Security guards patrol the complex seven days a week from 2 p.m. to 6 a.m. Surveillance cameras are installed on the grounds and in each building's lobby. Concord Village's superior fire-resistant construction comprises concreteencased steel frames and concrete floors. All original interior partitions are plaster on terracotta walls. Concord Village's higher elevation provides greater protection in storm surges, such as those experienced during Hurricane Sandy, than in some neighboring communities.

Management and Governance

The property is managed by Akam Management, which has a fourperson fulltime staff on-site at 215 Adams Street. A sevenperson elected Board of Directors sets operational and budgetary policies and standards.

HEALTH CLUB

Concord Village offers an on-site fitness center, located on the ground floor of 175 Adams Street.

Concord Village is a very pet-friendly environment, and many residents take advantage of our on-site dog run, which provides a fenced-in area where dogs do not have to be leashed.

MODERN MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Building Link allows residents to connect with management, place work orders, and communicate with fellow residents. Key Link provides enhanced security for resident's keys.

ON-SITE PARKING

Parking spaces are available on a wait-list basis.

STORAGE SPACE AND BICYCLE SPACE

Each building has a storage room and a separate bicycle storage room. Some of the buildings may have a waiting list, which the Management Office administers, for these amenities.

CABLE SERVICE

Residents can choose between RCN, Time Warner, and Verizon FIOS for cable, Internet and phone service.
