Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, and the 91st Oscars

The 91st Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, will soon air live on Sunday, February 24th, 2019. The ceremony this year is somewhat special. For the first time in 30 years, the Oscars will not have a host. Instead, the ceremony will be guided by a series of presenters. While we love Billy Crystal, Neil Patrick Harris, Chris Rock, and Ellen DeGeneres for their wit and humor, it will be exciting to see all the high-profile celebrities gather in one place to present the awards. In today’s celebrity real estate blog post, we are going to give you a tour of the homes of the 91st Oscars nominees and presenters, including Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, and Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz.

Christian Bale (Lead Actor, “Vice”)

In January 2017, our beloved dark knight, Christian Bale, quietly acquired an $8.8 million estate in Brentwood Park, Los Angeles. This is the second publicly recorded real estate transaction under the award-winning actor of the Fighter and his wife Sibi Bale since they purchased the Santa Monica house in 2001. This Hamptons-styled mansion was on the market for five years, five shocking years, before the Vice actor took ownership. Spanning 0.36 acre, the property comes with 6 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, a library, a media room in the basement, an open patio with a grill, fireplace, dishwasher, a swimming pool, and a lawn spreading through the back of the property.

Bradley Cooper (Lead Actor, “A Star is Born”)

Those who haven’t seen “A Star is Born”, we condemn you. Cooper’s performance, directing style, and singing voice in the movie are absolutely breathtaking. So is his lavish Greenwich Village townhouse, which he spent $13.5 million on under the Cool Trust back in May 2018. This pre-war townhouse, located at 224 West 10th Street, features 6 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen with state-of-the-art stainless-steel appliances, and a 50-foot immaculate private garden. Spanning five floors, each room in the house has its own charm and aesthetic. Let’s take the kitchen as an example. The exposed beams are a striking addition to the open space, showing off the classy fashion of the actor.

Lady Gaga (Lead Actress, “A Star is Born”)

While her co-star Bradley Cooper landed on a $13.5 million townhouse in her hometown New York City, Lady Gaga chose to reside in Malibu, California. This beachside property, which Gaga purchased for $22.5 million, has been her home since 2014. According to Vogue, it was also the meeting place of Gaga and Cooper when he offered her the leading role, Ally. Right off the Pacific Coast Highway, this 10,270 square-foot estate is Gaga’s oasis of peace, her sanctuary, and her “gypsy palace”. Spanning over 6 acres, the gypsy palace offers peaceful ocean views, wide open living and dining area, exposed beam ceiling, wine cellar, wet bar, two-lane Brunswick bowling alley, and floor-to-ceiling French doors.

Jennifer Lopez (Presenter)

Jennifer Lopez and her boyfriend, former MLB baseball player, A-Rod are the perfect symbols of a blended and loving family. The power couple bought the condo at 432 Park Avenue last February, for $13.5 million, or $4,372 per square foot. Spanning 4,003 square feet, this unit comes with 3 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and a library. The master bathroom offers good city views, along with a stunning marble interior and a bathtub. The building itself is equally amazing, with an on-site restaurant, children’s playroom, gym, spa with massage therapy, steam room and sauna, as well as valet services. With a beautiful home like this, you’d think that the couple will stay here for a while. However, in January 2019, they decided to put the unit back on market. Why? According to J-Lo, the 4,003 square-foot space is too small for their four kids, and so the family has decided to venture on and look for something bigger. Take a look at the listing here if you are interested in a glamorous 3-bedroom corner unit in Midtown East.

Daniel Craig (Presenter) and Rachel Weisz (Supporting Actress, “The Favourite”)

Craig and Weisz are often spotted in upstate New York, such as Kingston and High Falls, ever since their dream, secret wedding back in 2011. But no one can resist the Brooklyn charm. As more and more celebs, including Olivia Wilde, Matt Damon, and Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, became Brooklynites, Craig and Weisz joined the group and acquired a Brooklyn brownstone from Martin Amis, through On the Rows LLC, for $6.75 million. The brownstone, located at 22 Strong Place, was built in 1901 and spans over 6,000 square feet with 6 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, and a garden. Part of the building was damaged during a fire on New Year’s Eve in 2016 and had since been repaired.
