Today, it’s a highly sought-after residence for wealthy condo hunters — especially those of the Hollywood variety.

Jake Gyllenhaal is believed to have paid $8.63 million for a 2,600-square-foot apartment.

It’s known for being super secure and private, with a discreet underground parking lot that’s equipped with electric charging stations.

For further privacy, the building features a “secret garden” that’s cloistered by glass and brick. It’s for residents only, and spans 4,000 square feet.

443 Greenwich has a long list of ultra-lux amenities: A 24-hour doorman/concierge, a children's playroom, fitness center, residential storage, private fitness studios and an indoor 75-foot lap pool with Turkish baths and private alcoves.

Residents may also enjoy a 5,000 square-foot roof deck that can be accessed by elevator from the lobby. Meticulously landscaped, it offers quiet areas as well as active areas for children, showers for sun bathers and even a wet bar.

The building is also right off the Holland Tunnel, near several piers, just two blocks away from the Hudson River Greenway and a 25-minute stroll from Soho House New York.

Since 2012, there were plans to convert the building, which had been vacant for a decade.

Metro Loft Developers stepped in and launched a plan for 45 loft-style homes plus eight penthouses. Units range from a spacious 3,080 to about 4,000 square feet.

Cetra Ruddy Architects (Walker Tower, One Madison) were hired to bolster the facade and oversee interior development.

Should residents wish to take the MTA, the A/C/E and 1 subway lines are nearby. Commuters also have quick access to the Holland Tunnel, and the Hudson River Greenway.
