Formerly the seat of the Esquire Shoe Polish empire, a mid-century manufacturing maven, the eponymous building was erected in 1914 and reimagined at the turn of the 21st century.

The developer, herself a former manufacturer, put a new shine on this shoe polish factory, transforming it into one of Williamsburg's first condo loft conversions.  Two decades later, it remains the most unique case study and truest to its manufacturing roots.  Like snowflakes, no two units were alike.  Layouts were varied, and fixtures and finishes were left to the tastes of the original buyers.
