Who we are

RealtyHop finds the most undervalued condo, coop, and home deals. While other sites are tailored to first-time homeowners, our target audience is investors and buyers with an investment mindset. We recognize the value of the fundamentals when it comes to buying/selling properties, and we believe that every investor, whether large or small, should have access to the information. At RealtyHop, We focus on important quantitative metrics such as cap rate, financing, tax benefits, and board restrictions. Specifically, with a trove of rental data from our rental site, RentHop, we predict the sublet return, model cash flow revenues, and help investors make smarter decisions.


Scholarship Details

The RealtyHop Scholarship awards up to $2,000 a year to eligible undergraduate students and high school seniors working towards a bachelor and/or associate degree program in the US who demonstrate the ambition, diligence, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit that is central to our company culture.

The scholarship prompt is as follows:

“Imagine yourself 10 years in the future after having graduated college and living the life of your dreams: find a listing on RealtyHop you picture yourself living in and write what your favorite room or feature is on the listing and why it is important to your future life. Please provide a link to the listing. Finalists may have an opportunity to be featured on our blog.”


How to Apply and Eligibility

Submit your essay under 500 words using our Scholarship Application Form.

You must be a current student in an eligible undergraduate program or a graduating high school senior in the U.S., working towards a bachelor’s degree or associates degree.

You must apply using your school email address. If your school does not provide one or does not allow students to send/receive external emails via the school affiliated email address, then you may still apply using your personal email. We will ultimately need to verify your eligibility upon submission via a PDF file of your acceptance letter or proof of enrollment to the Undergraduate or Associates program. Please submit by midnight (Eastern Time) of each application deadline.

Awards include the following:

*RealtyHop will check with the recipient’s school to confirm their policy on external scholarship checks. If required, scholarship checks will be sent directly to the winner’s school.

Yeheun is a junior at UC Berkeley, majoring in Political Science and Data Science. By leveraging the intersection of these fields, she aims to advance public policy advocacy for women’s health and pursue a career in law.

Elizabeth is a 19-year-old college student studying animal science at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. She is hard-working and enthusiastic about her future in the field of working with animals. She is a loving and kind person who has always dreamed of working with animals and is incredibly excited about what is to come.
Na’Mya Sinclair, Fall 2023 Recipient
Pace University
Na’Mya Sinclair is a Sophomore at Pace University, where she’s majoring in Health Sciences on the pre-nursing track. Alongside her major, she is also pursuing minors in Public Health and Literature. With a strong passion for healthcare and a dedicated commitment to her studies, Na’Mya aspires to become a Nurse Practitioner in the future, aiming to combine her diverse interests to provide comprehensive and compassionate patient care.
Courtney Roberts, Spring 2023 Recipient
Spelman College
Courtney Roberts is a seventeen year old recent high honors high school graduate from Northwest Arkansas. This fall, she will attend Spelman College, located in Atlanta Georgia, where she will major in Biology on a premed track with a minor in English. After receiving her bachelors degree, she plans on attending medical school and becoming a Dermatologist.
Cambria Ball, Fall 2022 Recipient
Saginaw Valley State University
Cambria Ball is a Saginaw Valley State University alumnus with a BA in psychology, and is currently enrolled at SVSU, again, to earn her BA in sociology. Cambria’s goal is to eventually earn her Ph.D. in social psychology. In the future, Cambria would like to teach psychology and sociology at a college level while publishing research through the university.
Jacob Emejuru, Spring 2022 Recipient
UNC-Chapel Hill
Jacob Emejuru is a senior at Holly Springs High School in North Carolina. His favorite pastimes are playing video games, reading books, watching historical documentaries, and daydreaming about the future and fantasy worlds of his own creation. He was recently accepted to UNC-Chapel Hill and plans to major in marketing and pursue a minor in legal studies or public policy due to his passion for social justice and public speaking.
Dahlia Isabella Bolt
Dahlia Isabella Bolt, Fall 2021 Recipient

Dahlia Isabella Bolt is a plant enthusiast who is studying Chemical and Biomolecular engineering. She is hoping to apply this field to better agriculture across the globe!
Brianna Brum

Brianna is from Washington state and will be starting her higher education at Pacific Lutheran University as a nursing major. She has a love for the elderly and spends her free time both volunteering at her local senior center and hiking around the Pacific Northwest.

Jonathan Du, Fall 2020 Recipient
University of Virginia
Jonathan Du is a first generation college student attending the University of Virginia. He’s interested in medicine and is currently pursuing a degree on the pre-med track. As a childhood cancer survivor, pediatric oncology is a field he hopes to impact in the future.
Alyssa Tamboura
Alyssa Tamboura, Spring 2020 Recipient
University of California Santa Cruz
Alyssa Marie Tamboura studies Philosophy and Legal Studies as a third-year at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is an advocate for families impacted by incarceration and her passion has led her to create and participate in programs in prison and jail facilities in the Bay Area. After graduation, Alyssa plans on pursuing a law degree and seeking a career in criminal justice reform.
Maralmaa Nasantogtokh
Maralmaa Nasantogtokh, Fall 2019 Recipient
University of Pittsburgh
Maralmaa, aka Marla, is from the Chicagoland area though she was raised in Mongolia. She is a first year student at University of Pittsburgh. She has always been interested in the interconnectedness of our world and is pursuing a degree in International and Area Studies.

Mackenzie grew up in Portland, Oregon with four sisters and loving, supportive parents. She loves playing the cello, reading, bullet journaling, and traveling. She plans on attending Syracuse University in New York this fall, majoring in architecture and minoring in music performance.

My name is Hailey Matthews, and I’m from Menifee, California. I’ll be a freshman at the University of California San Diego, and will be majoring in Marine Biology at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. I hope to be a Marine Biologist after my studies and study the effects of human action, specifically the consumption of plastic, on our oceans.
