Michael MoranWhether working with agents, clients, or just someone who happens to be interested in the business, Michaels main focus is to always create an Exceptional Real Estate Experience for everyone involved in a Douglas Elliman transaction. Michael believes that the only way excellence can be achieved and sustained is by having a passion for the work involved. He enjoys telling the story that took place back in 2004; the story of his first meeting with Dottie Herman, CEO of Douglas Elliman, It was the first time in my life I had ever met someone that was as passionate about something as I was, and it happened to be the same thingReal Estate! Shortly thereafter Michael joined the firm with Dottie and members of the executive team on many projects including creating and implementing the business and expansion plans for their Brooklyn division while maintaining the firms commitment to excellence. Born in Franklin Lakes, NJ, Michael has had a life long love affair with New York City and the excitement of real estate. His mother recalls him saying he wanted to sell houses at the age of seven while he was sitting in the back of their real estate broker's car. Prior to joining Douglas Elliman, Michael began his career as a rental specialist and then devoted his time exclusively to sales when he joined The Corcoran Group. To this day Michel credits Barbara Corcoran and Dottie Herman for taking him under their wings and allowing and personally encouraging his out of the box thinking and for igniting his wildly imaginative marketing and branding concepts. Soon after he joined Corcoran he took on the role of Managing Director of the firms rental division and listings department, given the task of restructuring the firms rental division and later their listing divisions in order for them to better serve a rapidly changing market. His success continued with the creation of SoLofts, (a boutique start up firm which was backed by another New York City real estate expert and later acquired by the Corcoran Group). This experience proved to be all that Michael expected and one that took him to new levels both personally and professionally. Michael smiles when he says, "Fortunately, I have always been able to say that I am with the number one real estate company in New York City". In his own words, My primary core value is passion, and my main passion is and always has been real estate! It is my life; it is all I have ever wanted to do professionally. I am committed to making every experience better than the last. After all, it is a gift when you are given the chance to make someone happy, help someone become successful, find someone a home or to represent them in selling their biggest investment! To me this is personal and dont you think it should be? Michael devotes his prodigious energy to creating a platform for every Douglas Elliman agent to convey the same sense of passion to every client who entrusts the firm with this most important of transactions.
