About Lynne VanAuken

Lynne has been a successful real estate broker for over 25 years, during which time she has invested in her own properties and assisted many buyers, sellers and renters to achieve their personal goals. Besides working at Compass, she has also sold onsite plus managed a prestigious 125-unit luxury rental building in Gramercy Park. Lynne's professionalism, integrity, and reliability keep her focused on her clients' unique needs and the important details of each transaction without losing sight of the big picture. She came to New York City from the Midwest compliments of Seventeen Magazine after winning a national high school fashion competition and returned to make Manhattan her permanent home soon after. Lynne's prior career was in the city's bustling fashion industry selling textiles throughout the U.S. She realized that her business, marketing, and interpersonal skills would prove invaluable in real estate and greatly benefit clients. Years ago, Lynne was a member of the tenant's committee to convert her Upper East Side rental building to cooperative ownership; then she served on its' first Board of Directors. Today she and Bruce are contented residents and well-known community activists in the Southern Washington Heights Audubon Historic District. Lynne's other interests include photography, genealogy, and travel.
