A unique co-op in Lenox Hill, 233 East 69th Street has been housing New Yorkers for generations. This complex, two towers that are connected by a lobby and basement, has many interesting homes, as many renovations have taken place since it was first constructed in 1959. What hasn’t changed, however, is the quality of life here.

This is a full service building and, since it has two towers, it has two of everything. There are two doormen, one full time at the main entrance and one part time at the 70th Street entrance, two laundry rooms, two furnished roof decks, and two storage rooms with lockers. That said, there is only one private parking zone that’s available for an additional fee. Pets are welcome here and the building allows pied-a-terre.

Being a co-op that’s been around since the 50’s, 233 East 69th Street’s apartments have gone through some major combinations and renovations. Units typically range from studios to three bedroom apartments, though some units have been combined into four bedroom homes. Usually, units have an equal number of bathrooms to bedrooms. However, some units have more full bathrooms than they do bedrooms.

Living spaces are large and bright thanks to the oversized windows. Units are typically lined with hardwood flooring for a comfortable, elegant feel. Kitchens come fully equipped with refrigerators, gas stoves, dishwashers, and ovens. All units have ample closet space, and many units have an additional room or alcove that can be used as an office.

233 East 69th Street is made up of two towers, though they are hardly identical. Tower A is 12 stories and has five apartments per floor. Tower B is 17 stories and has ten apartments per floor. This means that apartments in tower B are a tad smaller, but their roof deck has better views than Tower A. That said, the units in both towers are very nice.
