The St. Regis

A historic Midtown hotel, St. Regis is a beautiful building that can be enjoyed by owners and guests alike. Units here can be purchased through a fractional ownership deal known as the Residence Club offered by the hotel. The club membership entitles you to a fixed week residency at the hotel, as well as an additional 21 days in the New York, Aspen, or Scottsdale locations. Days are also transferable to several other luxury hotels and resorts.

Membership in the Residence Club allows you free reign of the hotel’s amenities, including the spas and fitness center, butler and maid service, a private concierge, and an exclusive website for priority booking of reservations. Club membership is non-transferable and St.Regis doesn’t allow pets.

Suites in the St.Regis are large, easily outclassing normal hotel rooms. The floor-to-ceiling windows let in a ton of natural light, while the classy living room provides guests with the perfect place to relax and have a few drinks with friends. Bedrooms are nearly the size of living rooms and are kept comfy via central heating and air. Wet bars and walk-in closets come standard.

St. Regis has been around since 1904 after Caroline Astor’s son, Colonel John Jacob Astor IV decided to build a shrine to his mother’s socialite experiences in Manhattan. The hotel became an instant hit. After ensuring that it was the first hotel to have a telephone in each room, Astor died on the Titanic in 1912. However, his prestigious hotel lived on.

St. Regis is credited with the creation of the Bloody Mary, after one of the bartenders there felt inventive one day in 1934. The hotel was so famous and luxurious that many celebrities ended up living there for a while, like Salvador Dali, Alfred Hitchcock, and Nikola Tesla.
