The Building

The 416 Washington Street side of The River Lofts Condominium was built in the mid-19th century and used first as a sugar refinery and later as a storage warehouse. In 2003, the cast iron and masonry building was converted into residential condominiums and redesigned by Tsao & McKown Architects and Ismael Leyva Architects (of Time Warner Center fame).
