Formerly the site of a three story apartment complex, demolition of 356 Fulton Street is near completion. In the latter half of 2022, construction will begin on a 43 story mixed use skyscraper, with lower floors consisting of commercial space and the upper floors consisting of 363 residences.
The building will be in Downtown Brooklyn, and will have access to the A, C, F, R, 2, and 3 trains. It’s planned to have two cellars, a garden in the rear of the building, 73 outdoor parking spaces, and 73 indoor parking spaces. Though the completion date isn’t finalized, it's estimated to be ready in 2025.
There will be 363 residences in this building, 30 of which are designated as affordable housing. More information to come.
The architects for this new project are the good folks at SLCE, a big name in the New York City architecture game. Past projects of theirs are Beckford House, The Centrale, and 565 Broome SoHo. The building they are replacing was originally a bank built in 1967, though it has been used as a commercial space since the 1990’s.
