The Deutsche Bank Center

One Columbus Circle was originally constructed as the AOL Time Warner Center. Today, it’s known as The Deutsche Bank Center and functions as a mixed-use building that consists of two 750 foot twin towers that overlook Central Park.

The two towers — bridged by a multi-story atrium — straddle the border between Manhattan’s Midtown and the Upper West Side. The complex contains a variety of retail shops, office tenants and more than 220 luxury apartments.

Construction began in November 2000, following the demolition of the New York Coliseum, and a topping-out ceremony was held in February 2003.

The building actually has several street addresses: 10 Columbus Circle for offices; 25 Columbus Circle for the south tower (aka "One Central Park"); and 80 Columbus Circle for The Residences at Mandarin Oriental.

The building has an entrance to the 59th Street–Columbus Circle station of the New York City Subway near Columbus Circle's south end. It provides access to the A/C/B/D and 1 subway lines.

Residential tenants of One Columbus have plenty of extras: state-of-the-art fitness centers, indoor swimming pool, spa, massage room, a conference center with catering facilities, a spacious outdoor terrace and private screening room.

Residents also benefit from living above an upscale shopping mall located in a curving arcade at the base of the building, which encircles the western side of Columbus Circle.

The base connecting the two 55-story towers spans 98 feet across and 160 feet high — the largest cable structure in North America at the time of its completion.

Whole Foods Market grocery store takes up the lower level and Deutsche Bank replaced WarnerMedia as the anchor tenant of the 1.1-million-square-foot office area in May 2021.

Previous tenants include CNN, which has since moved to 30 Hudson Yards. Shows which originated from One Columbus Circle include “Anderson Cooper 360°” and “Erin Burnett: OutFront.”
