Tom arrived in the DC metro area 1992 after graduation from University of Richmond. He worked the tech consulting industry three years before returning to school at the University of Texas at Austin to receive his MBA in 1997. After business school, Tom returned to the DC metro area to continue in his tech consulting career path. Towards the end of 2002, Tom's tech consulting days were coming to an endfor a more meaningful career. At the beginning of 2003, Tom left the tech world to begin his passion to help people in their personal lives. This took the form of becoming a licensed realtor in DC, MD, and VA where Tom could help people find "a place to call home". Since his beginning in real estate, Tom has grown his practice and enjoyed every client he has worked with to find a home or sell a house, helping every person pursue his/her goals towards personal happiness. Tom prides himself on working with buyers and sellers to achieve their goals through real estate, creating homes, and bettering their lives thru a great transaction process. He believes purchasing a home is supposed to be a fun and exciting process that all buyers should enjoy, while selling a house should be an easy and streamlined process to eliminate the stress for every seller. Prior to arriving at, Tom was the #1 agent in the RE/MAX network for Washington DC from 2006 until he formed a team in 2014. The Tom Buerger Team was then in the top 3 teams for the RE/MAX network in Washington DC until the Team's departurein 2017. The Tom Buerger Team has grown to what it is today with the team's hard work and dedication to their clients and friends. Tom prides himself in the fact that 3 of the 10 on the team are past clients of his, who all wanted career changes as well.
