Thomas Ring

Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker at Elliman [email protected]
Tom Ring, an Associate Broker, brings not only outstanding expertise in interior design having worked in the business for over 20 years, but also a wealth of knowledge and connections to the Joan Swift real estate team, headed by one of the city's top-producing brokers. A Long Island native who studied Accounting at Fairfield University in Connecticut, Tom began his illustrious sales career at 3M Company. Deciding to redirect his professional path several years later, he took night courses in interior design at Parson's School of Design while working as a sales associate for Hyde Park Antiques, Ltd. in New York, purveyors of the finest English antique furniture which drew customers from around the world. Tom's next and natural transition was a more creative one - to apprentice with an International Hall of Fame interior designer, Billy W. Francis. After five years, he founded his own successful Chelsea-based business, Tom Ring Interior Design, which he operated for more than 14 years. Whether a contemporary hillside residence in Seoul, South Korea, a 19th Century Connecticut farmhouse, a grand vacation home on Long Island's East End, a spectacular Manhattan apartment, even offices in California, Tom's unique designs are known to sympathetically reflect the architecture, setting and client desires inherent in each individual project. He was also a featured designer in the Montclair and Rye Showhouses. Tom has always believed that, "Living in beautiful surroundings enhances the quality of one's life." This is the same principal that guides him in serving his residential real estate clients, and in finding their perfect home. Applying his proven business and service skills to the Kunen Team, Tom is involved in all aspects of the real estate business, from client contact and property showings to board package preparation, marketing and other tasks necessary to streamline his clients' transactions. A longtime resident of downtown Manhattan, Tom invests great energy and focus on real estate trends throughout the city. He has also remained active in the interior design community. Among his favorite leisure time hobbies are skiing, exercising at the gym and taking tap dancing classes, which keeps him on his toes as much as his work does!
