Born in China, she lived in Hong Kong 10 years before coming to New York in 1986 to attend high school. Shirley graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Production . She has lived on the Lower East Side and Upper East Side, but presently resides in DUMBO with her husband and two daughters.
