Shelton is a certified New Yorker with Southern roots. She is energetic and enthusiastic and at the same time, maintains a relaxed approach to life and work. She grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has lived in New York for more than two decades. An owner of a co-op in Greenwich Village where she served on the Board, Shelton is comfortable working with buyers and sellers both uptown, downtown and in Brooklyn. Shelton combines a "good eye" with good judgment. She has a natural capacity to listen and learn and loves meeting new people, seeing new places and experiencing New York to its fullest. A natural people person, Shelton's customers find her approachable, trustworthy and a joy to work with. Shelton listens to her clients wants and needs and makes the buying and selling process as smooth as possible. In addition to her strong re-sale business, Shelton served on the exclusive sales and marketing team for the SOM-designed 252 East 57th Street, a very successful condominium sell-out. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Shelton spent several years in Charlotte working both in real estate and in community relations. She then moved to New York to pursue a career as a commercial actress. Specializing in voiceovers and print, Shelton has been the "sleep-deprived mother" on the cover of Newsweek as well as the voice of the New York Times weekend edition. Shelton spends her free time focusing on friends and family, contemporary art and travel. She shares her love of cooking, food and wine through classes, entertaining and enjoying the New York culinary scene. Shelton remains active with several charities and nonprofit organizations in Manhattan.
