About Sandra Rooney

Sandy Rooney is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson with Keller Williams NY Realty in White Plains. Formerly an agent with Coldwell Banker and with Compass, her professional experience - coupled with her prior social work background - has provided her with the essential skills necessary in helping her clients navigate one of the most important and lucrative investments of their lives: the buying and selling of their homes. Upon graduating from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Mathematics, Sandy began her professional career working as a caseworker/social worker in the mental health field. She provided services to the mentally and physically disabled populations of Westchester County, and she proved instrumental in helping her clientele function successfully in the community. One of the most important benefits she helped her clients secure was appropriate, safe and affordable housing within New York State's 2nd wealthiest county. Accomplishing this was no easy task: it involved intense research on her part, meeting and communicating with crucial members of the local housing market, and relentless advocacy on her clients' behalf. This is also where her love of real estate emerged! It was truly a joy for her to be able to locate and negotiate home rentals and sales for the people to whom she dedicated herself. Her interpersonal skills and ability to advocate and truly listen have always been her biggest assets. She gets results because she cares about people - and countless disabled individuals in Westchester County have her to thank for the safe and secure dwellings that they can now call home. Sandy has also dedicated a large portion of her real estate training to serving two very special populations: senior citizens and war veterans. She most recently received her SRES designation as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist and has been specifically trained to meet the needs of seniors who are downsizing and/or advancing to more supportive living environments. Sandy is also a proud member and supporter of the Hometown Hero Project and is listed as a preferred Realtor to our nation's veterans.
