Sams husband, Jeff has been as local since the 60s where he owns and operates the family hardware store in Tahoe City with the family namesake. Sam lives in Truckee with her husband and their two sons Shane 19, and Bennett 16. She enjoys watching her son Shane compete professionally at enduro mountain biking events and Truckee High baseball games with Bennett.
