Rachel K. Wood

Licensed Real Estate Salesperson at Halstead Property, LLC [email protected]
Diamond Club Member CNE Certified Negotiations Expert Since 1986, Rachel has helped countless New Yorkers find their place in this wild and wonderful city whether they are buying, selling, or renting. From first-time buyers to real estate veterans and investors, she has guided clients through the process with a calm and steady hand. Her years of working in this constantly evolving market has provided her with an innate sense of real-time shifts. This deep understanding of market history helps provide her clients with another level of clarity when making one of the most important decisions of their lifetime. Rachels love of helping people secure a home is what keeps her passion for real estate alive. Her strength and commitment to being clear, direct, and listening with compassion help her clients feel safe and confident in the process. Many of Rachels clients still live in the homes she found for them over 20+ years ago. Even while their family grew, she helped them purchase neighboring units so they could expand without having to leave the home they first loved. Since first arriving in 1980, Rachel has believed that one could travel the world in this city, all within a few blocks. When friends and family in Texas ask her Why so long in New York City?, her first word is More. There is more life converging here than anywhere. And she loves it. Prior to real estate, Rachel worked in theatre, restaurant management, and as a record store partner (Yes, she sold vinyl.) As a result, she is an expert at working with a cast of characters and managing moving pieces without dropping the ball. A lifelong lover of performing arts, she studied Theatre at Sam Houston State University. She also studied under John Basil at the American Globe Theatre and Martin de Maat of Second City in New York. Rachel is so proud to be on the Board of the Piper Theatre, a professional, non-profit theatre company that has been running in Brooklyn for over 20 years. She is also a longtime meditator and one of her favorite mantras is sthira sukham sanam, which encourages a steady and joyful connection to the earth. Rachel has also recently begun practicing Qigong. You can find her writing on Medium. Halstead Brooklyn, LLC
