About Matthew Ryan
Taking the time to understand people's perspectives is invaluable when helping them find their new home. Having the working knowledge of NYC is critical in identifying their best possible option. Over the past thirty years, Matthew Ryan has built a strong personal connection and understanding of the unique and special qualities of New York City. Each neighborhood tells a story, it's what makes New York truly special. Matthew's prior career in fashion working for brands such as Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent, and Diesel gave him a unique global perspective. Whether he was in a factory in Guangzhou, opening a new store in Palo Alto or working a trade show in Milan, connecting with people is what Matthew does best. He takes the time to understand people's needs and how to quickly identify solutions. Most recently, Matthew has been a NoMad resident specifically because it is centrally located, easy access to all the boroughs. He is a cross-fit fanatic and loves that he is both next to the theater district and Madison Square Garden (he loves all types of entertainment). He is a graduate of Hobart College with a degree in Political Science with a year spent on a graduate program living in Russia. Matthew first met Steve Dawson when they both sat on the board of Stonewall Community Foundation. They worked closely for years and created a tight bond that would eventually bring them back together as teammates for DVT in 2019.
