About Lisa Pound

Lisa Pound

REALTOR® | DRE 01229477 at Compass [email protected]
Lisa's is one of those rare souls that remains committed to her work and uses all of her life experiences to bring joy to those she encounters. Her initial degree was in Art History and out of college worked primarily for Architecture firms in their art/graphic departments. From design, she moved into Business Development and then to Finance, again, caring for the communication of business criteria to designers. Her greatest asset is her ability to translate complex subjects into everyday language. From the world of Financial Management for architects, her interest grew in the real estate market, first as a lender and then in real estate. As a real estate agent she is able to blend all of her previous knowledge and skills for the benefit of her clients. Happy, long term clients are her greatest asset. She takes joy and pride in building relationships that last more than twenty years. In 2020, during the pandemic, she helped her 2nd client in real estate sell their house 20 years later for the price of their dreams. While Santa Monica will always be close to home, Lisa has helped her clients buy and sell properties all over California: Oakland, Mendocino, Ojai, Ventura, Oxnard, just to name a few. Lynn says, "If I could give 100 out of 5 - I would! Lisa is one of the most skilled real estate professionals I know! Over the years - we have been through 5 escrows together this last one was a move back to CA from Hawaii." To further develop her skills in communication and personal development, Lisa graduated from the University of Santa Monica with a Masters in Spiritual Psychology plus an additional 3rd year of studies in Consciousness, Health Healing. She uses these skills every day throughout the real estate transaction as well as in service to those in need. She works with teenagers in the Foster Care System as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) and is an active member of Ignatians West (a community working with the poor and protecting the earth). With deep roots in Southern California, Lisa's grandfather worked as a sheepherder for Mr. Agoura (Yes the one that the city is named after him) and annually walked the sheep from Calabasas to Bishop and back again. Her grandparents were married in the Old Plaza Church near Union Station and settled on a ranch as dry farmers living in a shanty in the Miracle Mile area of Los Angeles. Who would have guessed that years later, their great-granddaughter would be finding people homes in the same area they use to farm.
