About Katri Hunter

Katri joined The Tom Buerger Team in 2013 and is licensed in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. She decided to make a career transition after 7 years of consulting in Computer Forensics. She has a Masters in Forensic Science from George Washington University and her undergraduate studies Sociology at The University of Vermont. Katri has lived in DC, Maryland, and Virginia since moving to the area in 2004. Katri prides herself on being completely transparent with her clients and earning their trust. During her previous career, she greatly missed interacting with clients and people in general, so she strives to make the home buying and selling process effortless, seamless, and enjoyable. Katri loves the challenge of negotiating on behalf of her clients and assisting in guiding people through complicated transactions. Katri often works with first-time homebuyers and is happy to guide people through the complicated process of looking for their first home. In her personal time, Katri enjoys fostering dogs from a local rescue and riding horses at a competitive level. Katri is a big supporter of the National Kidney Foundation. As a living donor in a kidney chain that produced three successful kidney transplants, Katri has focused on NKF fundraising efforts being an advocate for living donors the National Kidney Registry.
