Prior to coming to work at Douglas Elliman in 2006, she served as The Director of Sales, for the largest, independently-owned and operated real estate firm in NYC. In that position, she lead the entire sales team and staff, and was literally the driving force behind thousands of transactions, which translated into more than $500 million dollars in sales revenue! She was responsible for reviewing all of the offers generated by her sales team, the evaluation of all board packages prior to submission, and the oversight and maintenance of the entire sales database. She wrote all of the firms marketing materials, which included multiple forms of print-based media, as well as all web-based platforms, and forged important relationships with numerous vendors, and service providers, whom she is still in contact with to this day!.Prior to that, she had formed ECP Realty Group, a private-equity based real estate firm, which was listed with Dunn and Bradstreet, during her tenure there. In her early years in the industry, she created a corporate relocation division for another well-known firm, formed a luxury rental division for yet another, and served on the REBNY (Real Estate Board Of New York) Rental Ethics Committee in the early 90s, as well as the now defunct DBA - Downtown Broker's Association.Kathy has been involved with the intricacies of property ownership since she was a little girl, due to family-owned real estate in Long Island City and Manhattan.
