About Karen Zelermyer
Buying and selling your home is a high stakes endeavor. I know. I've been there and done it multiple times. What I learned from those experiences is that having a smart, strategic, competent agent who is focused on managing the process, listening to your concerns and advising your decision making can be the difference between a torturous, joyless experience and one that feels relatively smooth and anxiety free. I am a seasoned managerof people, complex systems and processes. I am experienced in marketing and communications, conflict resolution and negotiations. I love working with people to clarify their real estate wants and needs, to realize their goals and to bring their vision to life. And, perhaps, most importantly in this work, I value honesty and like to have fun. I am also incredibly proud to do this work as a part of a team with my daughter, Sarah Zelermyer-Diaz. She is smart, caring and competent and, in partnership with the rest of the Zelermyer-Diaz Team, we hold a deep reservoir of experience and knowledge to ensure that you receive the best possible service and care. I am also a mother and step-mother of four daughters and grandmother of five (yikes!). I am deeply committed and have spent much of my life working to end wars and to secure rights for women, children and LGBTQ people. I have been a member of the Park Slope Food Coop since 1985, have volunteered with the Brooklyn Food Coalition and am on the board of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ). I also work as an organizational development consultant with non-profits and foundations and build furniture.
