About John Verea
Douglas Elliman is pleased to welcome John Verea to our team. John has a unique skill set and intense drive to excel in his real estate endeavors. Born in Trinidad, Cuba, right after the Cuban Revolution, John has a worldly and artistic core that hes able to leverage into relationship building and cultural understanding. He began his travels in Paris as a student of La Sorbonne University studying French Language and Civilization, where he also gained his appreciation of Theater. That appreciation led John to New York where he attended the Julliard School of Performing Arts and was later accepted into William Espers master class at The Neighborhood Playhouse. John gained his appreciation of real estate through an inside-out approach. In Los Angeles, John started Wild Mayan Furniture, an antique company catering to specialty interior decorators and motion picture art directors. He spun the success of Wild Mayan Furniture into Verea Furniture, a specialty resource store for imported Indian, Indonesian and Chinese antiques, and successfully grew operations into three outlets throughout Los Angeles. John's communication mastery and interior design capabilities are an asset to his clients. A resident of Miami, FL, John enjoys spending time with his children Paisley 12 and Hugo 15 years old.
