Seventeen. Seventeen Years Old. That�EUR(TM)s when Jana Maroney put her toe in the water of what would lead to a successful and personally gratifying real estate career. At 17 she became a leasing agent in the apartment leasing industry in Dallas. A sharp manager took a chance on this tenacious teenager and found a gem. Jana quickly learned about legal contracts, people�EUR(TM)s housing needs, customer service, and that being a reliable, honest employee earns a living and the respect of your employers and clients. After learning a great deal as a big market leasing agent for four years Jana moved on to Oklahoma City to be near family. Jana met Oklahoma native Monty Fariss. He�EUR(TM)s 6�EUR(TM)4�EUR�. She�EUR(TM)s 5�EUR(TM)3�EUR�. He�EUR(TM)s reserved. She�EUR(TM)s not! They are perfect together and so they began their marriage, living out values that guide them to this day: family, hospitality, gratefulness, and hard work balanced with fun. Monty transitioned from a career in major league baseball to banking, and the young couple started a family and before long bought a house to flip while living in it with two young children and Monty working full time. It could have been an HGTV disaster but it wasn�EUR(TM)t! They found they were good at working together, each bringing their strengths and growing knowledge to the table. They were inspired and big dreams were forming. When the kids got a little older Jana answered an ad in the paper for a job with an OKC area real estate investor. He hired her that day and trained her as one of the state�EUR(TM)s first female real estate acquisition agents. She became a licensed realtor and during her years with this company, Jana was a key player in millions of dollars in real estate transactions of all kinds, gaining valuable business experience along the way. After several years it was time for her and Monty to build a business of their own, the one for which they had been dreaming and preparing. Over time Jana has transacted 1000s of residential deals. She is experienced, successful and comfortable in residential, investment, commercial, agricultural, lease to own, even multifamily transactions. The culmination of her various real estate endeavors is 1411 Homes. Jana, as broker/owner has assembled a core team unified around a shared vision - a small, strong, family owned real estate brokerage, very attentive to their client�EUR(TM)s needs and goals, a spirit of education, and an atmosphere of support and encouragement within the company. During this global pandemic the core team is officing out of the Fariss�EUR(TM)s warm, inviting home. Additional team members drop in for meetings or check in over the phone. Around noon, someone puts together a good, quick lunch. {note: we�EUR(TM)re foodies!!} The team comes to the large table and we stop and truly enjoy the food and the conversation. Not long, 15-30 minutes, then we�EUR(TM)re done, several do the dishes and it�EUR(TM)s back to work, for YOU, the client, as well as for our own varied personal goals. This lunch time developed naturally but has come to symbolize the culture of 1411 Homes and anyone who joins the team is committed to this same spirit: Work hard producing a quality service or product, listen, enjoy the moment, work out problems and celebrate each other.
