Having a background in computer engineering with a MD in IT gave me a strong analytical background into sales. As of today, Ive been in sales for 21 year covering everything all the way from car sales to mortgages to financial services to real estate. Before getting into real estate, I had to move, i.e. sell and buy my own house 7 times before I became a Real Estate Agent myself. During those 7 times I had a good experience twice. Loved the agents, they ended up becoming my role models in the real estate world later. The remaining 5 times it was a total disaster... The agents were not communicating clearly, misleading about the process, not presenting offers in a timely manner, lowballing and diminishing my home values, completely ghosting and seizing any communications after we signed an executed contract with an opposite side, and I was forced to do all work by myself. To my surprise, ALL of those 5 agents had been working in real estate for 15-20 years. That taught me that the length of being in the industry has nothing to do with the fact if that person is going to do a great job for me or not. During my 7th time when I was selling my home, the listing agent took only 5 blurry cell phone pictures to market my house, justifying it as if the home has too many photos online, and if it looks too good online that it wont motivate people to come and see it in person. After having my house sitting on the market for 2 months and I had only ONE showing, I told myself ENOUGH of this nonsense, I will get my own RE license! I hit the ground running with 4 years of experience in the mortgage industry and having sold my own home 7 times. Now I am on a mission to show people that selling or buying home SHOULD and CAN be a FUN experience instead of an overstressed nightmare!
