A retired movie set builder, turned townhouse investor then broker, Doug owns a portfolio of 5 townhouse properties, which he has extensively renovated over the last 20 years. His vast knowledge of construction is one of the cornerstones of his brokerage practice. In addition to steady stream of resale work, helping clients sell, buy and rent their condominiums, coops and townhouses, Doug has also worked extensively in the new development space since 2006. Doug and his team are currently representing 1 Prospect Park West, a one-or-a-kind 64 unit conversion project in Park Slope, Brooklyn and 246 West 16ht Street, a boutique 4 unit project in prime Chelsea. Doug was Director of Sales for 125 North 10th Street, an 86-unit condominium development in Williamsburg, partnering with the developers from the pre-development stage all the way through the sellout of this now premiere address. Doug also consulted, start to finish, on the design of 144 North 8th; a "tower and platform" condominium building that sold out within 3 months and set a new bar in Williamsburg in 2010. He continues to consult with many of the top New York City developers on new buildings, especially in Brooklyn. He is currently working to bring to market two new development condominium projects, one in Chelsea and one in Downtown Brooklyn. Doug lives in a townhouse in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn that he gut renovated. Active in his community, he is a board member of the BID (Business Improvement District) for the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership and a member of both The Society for Clinton Hill and The Fort Greene Association. Doug was part of the creation of Brooklyn's most recent Landmarked District, Wallabout, near the Brooklyn Navy Yard. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), where he has been both a panelist and moderator for their broker education programming. He sits on REBNY's Brooklyn Committee (5 years), which helps to shape the future of brokerage in the borough. Additionally, Doug is a New York Residential Specialist, a REBNY "Board Certified" designation awarded to top New York City brokers who have successfully completed a special coursework and education in real estate brokerage, law, ethics, marketing, and finance.
