I was born and raised in California, started my service career there, moved to Tennessee, and was fortunate enough to retire 34 years later in good health. Realizing that we were not meant to live where frozen water falls from the sky, my wife and I retired to Florida. Along the way we raised two kids, built a couple of houses, and owned a few rentals. St. Augustine is a GREAT place to live, even if you still have to work. Plenty of things to do, plenty of restaurants to try, plenty of places to take visitors...and ABOVE ALL...MILD WINTERS. I traded my snow shovel for a sand shovel, now the only frozen water I see is in my ice tea glass !!
