My husband and I have settled in, and raised two beautiful daughters here in The Hudson Valley. We love living here alongside the majestic Hudson River. I feel very fortunate to be in this area. We have Mohonk mountain to our west, historic Dutchess County to our East, New York City is an hour and a half to our South, and skiing, which is my favorite winter sport, is less than an hour North. I love introducing this area to new buyers, it is a wonderful place to raise a family, or retire to. When I need a little bit of a faster pace, or want to see the excitement of the city, Metro North train is less than five minutes from my home. Being outdoors and enjoying the scenery is my favorite past time. Recently The oldest railroad bridge in The world, which crosses The Hudson River from Highland to Poughkeepsie, was recently transformed into a pedestrian walkway. It is absolutely a refreshing and beautiful way to get some exercise and free the mind, as well as to get out and see people. During the winter months I enjoy skiing at Hunter Mountain, which is less than an hour from my home. They are known for their snowmaking, so it's the best place to ski close to New Paltz. When i am not enjoying all the area has to offer, I am working hard.
