About Cathie Steiger

My name is Cathie and I would like to share my "story" with you! Don't worry, only about my real estate life and a tidbit of my personal life! (I have never written a BIO before. I hope it doesn't get too boring!) lol I have enjoyed the real estate business since 1982. I began my career in real estate when I was only 19! I knew without a doubt that real estate would be a temporary career for me! The only reason I stayed and never wanted to pursue another career is because real estate actually stays exciting, thanks to the fact that all of the buyers and sellers and their needs are so different! Real Estate has been good to me and thank goodness I have experienced much success! Over the years, I have earned many awards. (Okay, I'm bragging a little!) There is one that's close to my heart. I received the "Community Service" award from the Board of Realtors. I introduced the Realtors and local businesses to a wonderful charity organization that provides help to less fortunate people in the community and Christmas and school supplies for the children. We only had 10 days to provide Christmas for 500 children! Everyone I contacted stepped up to the challenge and sponsored a child! We made it! I'm sharing this because this is one of the most rewarding experiences in my life time! I grew up in Douglasville Georgia, and then moved to Atlanta in my 30's! In Atlanta I moved to a trendy community called Virginia Highlands. I loved the experience, the people and the culture. My parents fulfilled their dreams and retired on a lake in Alabama. As they aged and (I thought) they needed me (lol), I relocated to Lake Wedowee in Alabama! The lake is beautiful and being near family is the best! My Mom is my best friend and I'm so happy to be here! I have many passions, however, my love for dogs and just about any animal is on the top of the list! I also love gardening, music, any beach, flowers, cooking and everything about and in nature! I know God is great! That's All Folks, now I hope to get to know you!
