If work ethic, integrity and authenticity are non-negotiables, you are in good company. Life is too short, right? I am a Georgia native and a graduate of Valdosta State University, where I studied Finance, ran cross-country and played a lot of music. Upon graduation, I had an analysis internship with Smith-Barney and joined a small accounting firm in Johns Creek, specializing in commercial real estate development. After a few years of running numbers as an accountant, I decided to chase the music dream with some of my friends. We did it all: sold merchandise, bought a tour van and drove all over the country performing with many national acts. Im proud to say that our little, independent country-rock band even wrote and published a couple of records that broke the top 20 on the Americana charts. It wasnt until after booking and performing nearly a thousand shows for my group and others, that I decided to move back home from the road I missed my family, friends and church community. I accepted an accounting manager offer with Lennar Corporation, one of the largest national homebuilders. Within just a year, I transitioned into the new home sales department. This was a chance to escape the accounting office and my time to shine! I realized how much I love helping others solve problems. My consistency, drive and my patience enabled me to become the top performing new home consultant for six consecutive quarters. In four years, I sold over 150 new home sales and contributed nearly $80 million in revenue. I learned a lot about Atlanta homebuilding, and Ive learned a lot since. In a move to prioritize my family and the terms of my career, I took a leap of faith and went into the wild world of general real estate with Georgias most dominant realty firm, Atlanta Fine Homes Sothebys International Realty, right after I married my best friend Kristen. I do not know where I would be without her encouragement and faith. The career gamble paid off, and Ive been a Top Performer since my first partial year as a licensed Realtor. This path has granted me exposure to various investment strategies, real estate development, renovations, flipping homes, and a lot of sharp minds. In 2019, my team founded Good Hand Properties for our investment branch.
