About Bailey Dowden

Hey everyone! I'm Bailey and this is my journey. It wasn't always my plan to become a Realtor, BUT fate had a different path for me! I grew up in SWLA , Carlyss specifically, and take pride in my community. After graduating from Sulphur, I received a degree in Accounting from McNeese. During my senior year of college, I gave birth to my amazing son Slade. After graduation I moved to Bossier City, with my husband Shane, accepting a position at a local CPA firm. I just knew that accounting was going to be my long-time career, so I immediately started studying to earn my CPA licensing. Soon I realized that working late nights during tax season with a family at home waiting for me wasn't exactly what I had expected, but we made it work. I had this hard-working woman idea in my head that I knew I could one day accomplish. A few years later fate brought us back home to the Sulphur/Lake Charles area, but WHAT WOULD I DO ABOUT MY JOB?! Sure I could have applied and gotten a job at another CPA office, but honestly I just wasn't sure. A Realtor friend of mine, whom I owe my beginnings to, recommended I try getting my license and give it a go "part time" so I could still be home as a full-time mom. Well anyone that knows me knows I don't have a "part time" bone in my body, but it sounded great LOL. Instantly I fell in love with Real Estate. I received my license within a few months and hit the ground running. Everything about this profession excites me, from the tough negotiations to seeing a buyer's face light up when they find "the one". In my first full year I was a top agent several months out of the year, sold over 3 Million in real estate, and capped with my brokerage (if you don't know what capping is just know that's its a very good thing). Ever since my drive and passion for this profession has only grown. I received the Rookie of the Year award for my brokerage. I've served on several committees, both within our local board and within Keller Williams. I've trained new agents and watched the spark in them ignite. I've hit goals that all seemed impossible when I started out, but somehow I was able to make them a reality. I love what I do, I love my clients, I love that I have this amazing opportunity, and I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon!
