The two American Foursquare houses in the Fifth Avenue Historic District reflect the influences of the Colonial Revival style. The Preatcher House at 305 East Fifth Avenue built in 1920, is a 21/2-story, three-bay, frame dwelling with a hipped roof and a hipped roof dormer on the facade. It is stuccoed and rests on a solid parged foundation. All of the windows on the facade are six-over-one, double-hung, wood sash with decorative wood shutters. At the entrance there is a single-leaf, wood paneled door with fluted wood pilasters and a dentiled cornice.
