These 8 homes were developed by Habitat for Humanity of DC and Northern VA in conjunction with Douglass Community Land Trust. There are eligibility requirements for purchasers including household size (3-7 members) and income limits (30-60% MFI).  

From the moment you enter the home, the open-concept main living level offers multifunctional living space with ample natural light. The modern kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a breakfast bar. On the upper level are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, including a primary bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The unfinished lower level walks out to the rear yard, and is already plumbed for a bathroom. The lower level includes a washer and dryer. This community was made possible in part by a partnership with Douglass Community Land Trust. That means that the underlying land will belong to the Land Trust, and the home itself will belong to the homeowner. This allows the home to cost less and remain affordable while the homeowner can still gain equity from the sale of the home.

These homes are currently under construction with an anticipated completion date of February 2024. Buyers who are approved for HPAP are welcome regardless of the HPAP funds status.

Hard hat tours are available by appointment for qualified prospective purchasers. Eligibility restrictions include households with 3-7 members and total household income between 30-60% MFI. Full eligibility information is available upon request.
