Shep is a seasoned real estate advisor with 15 years of experience(4 at Compass and 11 withSothebys International Realty) with an unusually broad range of expertise throughout New York City. From townhouses and cooperatives, to downtown lofts and new development, Shep understands the nuances associated with all aspects of NYC real estate and has achieved favorable results for his repeat clients time and time again.A keen listener and communicator, coupled with a data driven approach, both sellers and buyers alike benefit from his keen understanding of the market. With 15 years of industry experience, he has developed relationships with industry leading professionals which his clients benefit from in: legal and estate planning, financing, insurance, interior design, staging and construction. Raised in New England and Los Angeles, Shep went to prep-school in Western Massachusetts and graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. He speaks Spanish, having lived abroad in Cordoba, Spain and the Dominican Republic. His life-long love of sporthas shaped many of the redeeming qualities that Shep incorporates into his work as a broker. Shep was an accomplished college lacrosse player, plays a range of racquet games,is an avid golfer and aNYC3 x marathon runner. Shep also believes in a life balanced by paying back the opportunities he's been afforded and he volunteers his time with: Citylax and The Church of the Ascension Food Pantry. He is on the Vestry at the Church of the Ascension, an Episcopal church in Greenwich Village. Painting, guitar, and photography satisfy his creative side and travels extensively. A Brooklyn resident for 14 years, he resides in Park Slope.
