She has also been a member on the Credentials Committee that oversees the Board's New York Residential Specialist program where she was one of the first agents to receive this designation. In October, 2009, together with the other founders of the NYRS program, Rena was honored at the 2009 REBNY Deal of the Year Gala for her hard work, dedication and commitment to the advancement of higher education for real estate brokers. Rena is an expert at navigating buyers and sellers through the intricacies of a real estate transaction. Her exemplary dedication, integrity and results truly set her apart from someone who merely works in real estate versus an agent who is totally immersed in the business. Earning degrees in Psychology and completing coursework in Art and Design, Rena first exhibited her desire to help people in the field of social work. A former "PTA Mom," she learned a great deal about family and community life while running committees, heading the PTA and volunteering for charitable causes. In pursuit of her creative side, Rena started her own successful interior design firm, an experience which today enables her to help customers envision possibilities in a potential home. Also a jewelry designer, Rena next teamed with a partner to establish a semi-precious jewelry manufacturing company that sold to specialty and department stores throughout the U.S. A native New Yorker, she moved to the Upper East Side to attend graduate school.
