Mitchell Simmons is a luxury real estate associate broker and founder of the Mitchell Simmons Team at Compass. Prior to real estate,Simmons served as VP at Rubentstein Public Relations, MWW Group and Brand Building PR as well as SVP of Corporate Communications and Government Relations at 24/7 Media, Inc.At the suggestion of his friend Jeff Cappon who was founder and then co-principal of Elegran Real Estate, he joined the upstart real estate brokerage as a residential agent. It was here that Mitchell began to work on a more personal level with a host of clients, both buyers and sellers, many of them trusting his advice on what would be for them, the single largest financial transaction of their lives. Always listening intently and realizing every client has uniquely individual needs and desires, Mitchell studies the market to make certain he understands and is up-to-date on the current market and specific neighborhood trends. Knowing the market is essential, but listening to and understanding the needs of your clients is the key element of success in real estate, says Mitchell. Because buying real estate for many is such a huge personal decision, I spend a lot of time addressing their issues and concerns and make myself available at any time of the day or night. A proud Arkansas native and graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a degree in Business Administration, Mitchell has lived in New York for the past 25 years and currently resides in the historic Village of Harlem. Mitchell is an art, architecture, travel and sports enthusiast. He is a founding member of the Armstrong Alliance, a Little Rock based group of entrepreneurs and financial advisors founded by Nanci J. Armstrong, to develop and finance affordable housing for first time home buyers in the greater Little Rock metropolitan area. In addition, Mitchell is a patron of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, The Studio Museum of Harlem and active in the NAACP Mid-Manhattan Branch, Abyssinian Baptist Church, and several marketing organizations.
