If your reading this, you probably already know Rachael Bauer and I are a real estate team that is very involved in the Elk Grove Community. What you might not know is how and why we started working together. To better understand that, it's important to know a little more about each of our backgrounds first. Many people don't know that I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado until I graduated from high school early with a two-year degree as an animal health technician, and a bachelor's in animal science. In 1983, I came to Elk Grove for an internship at a veterinary clinic, where I was hired on full-time and met my husband, Dr. Mike Johnson! We got married in 1986 and I spent the next 21 years at home raising our four boys...so I had my hands full! During that time, my husband and I also bought several rental homes that I managed. I was close friends with our Realtor who helped us a lot with purchasing property. She said that I should think about going into real estate , so that same year I got my real estate license and jumped in with both feet! I was very lucky at the tie because our agent became my mentor to me and helped guide me through my early years in my real estate career. It took me a year to get up and running, but once I did, it really took off, and I have been a Master's Club Member every year since...even through the recession! Rachael was friends with my oldest sone when they were in high school, so I have known her for over 15 years now. She was born and raised in Elk Grove and attended UC Santa Barbara on a soccer scholarship. After earring her Biological Sciences degree, Rachael was considering applying for Dental School to follow in her mother's footsteps, but realized that was never her passion, and that teaching high school chemistry would be the best path. She taught high school for nearly six years as well as coached the varsity boys soccer team, but she wasn't fulfilled professionally, so she started on a completely different path: real estate. Rachael earned her Realtor's license in 2017 and became a Master's Club Member that next year! In the beginning though, she really laced the guidance that she needed to achieve her potential. Then I ran across at an event, where we chatted for hours about our philosophy on work ethic and morals regarding our profession... but we mainly laughed A LOT! We clicked so naturally. There were a couple of reasons that we decided to partner up. First, I remembered my first mentor in this fielding how she was so instrumental in my early and continuing success, so I wanted to provide the same type of direction for Rachael. Secondly, our partnership is all about our community of Elk Grove. Even though there are nearly 200,000 people here now, it still feels like a small tight-knit community. EVERYBODY KNOWS EVERYBODY. Rachael and I are both very connected to the local community and professional networks, but we also love to give back. We have both been very involved in local youth sports, participation in multiple community fundraisers events every year, as well as our strong ties and support for the Elk Grove Food Bank. Elk Grove is not just where we do our business, it's our home!!! One of the best things abut Rachael and I teamed up is that we take the same approach to our clients. We are both very honest and always genuine. It is never about the money for us... We want clients for life, so relationships are everything to us. We are going to let people know if the direction they are going is a good idea or not. Honesty is the key to success in this business. We are also very hands-on during the real estate process and feel that you can never over communicate anything! We handle all the details so that our clients can be as involved, or not as involved, as they wish. This is one of the biggest financial decisions of a person's life, so we take our job seriously. Our main goal is to make it more that just a transactional process. We want it to be a personal experience. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us and our life. Rachael and I would love nothing more than to share our experience and knowledge by assisting you with your real estate needs. We hope that you will allow us the opportunity to demonstrate our services and interview for the job.
