212 5th Ave. was originally constructed as a manufacturing building with open floor plates, high ceilings and oversized windows. Today, it’s considered one of the most ambitious condominium projects in Manhattan.

The NoMad building —  neo-Gothic sky-scraper overlooking Madison Square Park — played a role in transforming the surrounding neighborhood into an ultra luxury neighborhood. At the base of 212 is retail space, which was sold by developers — Robert Gladstone’s Madison Equities, Joseph Sitt’s Thor Equities and Building and Land Technology — in 2019 for $25 million.
