Generally, the Garden Plan buildings were characterized by compact and intelligent planning, a shallow lot coverage allowing for cross-ventilation, large casement windows, and extra communal features including roof decks and gardens. Another particular feature of Colton Hall is the Art Deco lobby with views through the stunning wrought iron doors into the Common Garden.
