 "Our proximity to the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Public Library, and the Grand Army Plaza farmer's market........There are also a lot of things that don't get talked about as often: for example the Weeksville Heritage   Center, a bit further east. The tennis courts at Lincoln Terrace Park. Tons of community gardens (Bergen Street community garden and Imani community garden, to name a couple). At Union Street and Utica, there is an incredible place started by an avid urban   farmer in his building's communal green space, the Union Street Farm, which gives away their harvests of organic vegetables every weekend for free. Lastly, I'll just say that the absolute best thing about this building-other than our gorgeous garden where   we BBQ every weekend-is the community. We have an active email list where people ask for advice and help when they need it. I've made lifelong friends in this building and I know probably over 40 of my neighbors on a first-name basis (and that's a conservative   estimate). Any time I need to borrow something or find that I'm missing a lemon for a recipe, I have about 10 people who text me back immediately.
