Wild Mountain Ranch consist of 746 deeded acres and has more water features than most of the ranches in the area.Springs flow freely from more than two drainages, feeding off of the Yellowstone Valley and creating good water and rich habitat throughout the ranch. These springs flow down the hillside and converge to fill a one acre pond. The overflow runs down into another pond at a possible building site. From there is continues downward and pools up at the caretakers house. The irrigation rights date back to 1899 and allows you to flood irrigate nearly 43 acres. The fields could be turned over and put into grain or alfalfa for excellent game habitat. In the earlier days the ranch was a shooting preserve and evidence of that still remains. The Natural habitat allows for phenomenal bird hunting, excellent deer hunting, and with the right management practices, will draw more of the resident elk herd to the ranch.
