310 Riverside Drive, better known as The Master Building, is an Art Deco high-rise designed by architect Harvey Wiley Corbett and built in 1929. It has 28 floors and about 324 units

The Landmarks Preservation Commission touts the Manhattan residence for its “minimal, yet elegant, use of surface ornamentation and historically-inspired detailing.”

Real estate investor Sol Goldman purchased the so-called “Master Apartments” in 1979 and, in 1982, began a co-op conversion. By 2005, renovations wrapped with a restored lobby, remodeled hallways, an uptick in amenities and a variety of floorplans, including studio, one- two- and three-bedrooms.

Additional amenities include storage areas, a bike room and a laundry facility. Pied-a-terre and subletting are allowed.

In 2016, the Master Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

A number of outdoor getaways are less than a mile away, including Riverside Park, Straus Park, Frederick Douglass Playground, Greenstreet and La Perla Garden. Columbia University and Barnard College are also nearby.
