On the northernmost part of the Upper East Side is the art deco beauty that is 308 Owners Corp. This smoke free Co-op was built in 1928, but has seen major upgrades in recent years, thrusting it into the luxury category shared by so many of its neighbors in the area. All the apartments have a little extra inside, and we aren’t just talking about the amenities.

That said, the amenities are phenomenal. The lobby is one of the only places in the building’s interior that hasn’t changed, keeping its original art deco charms. It is staffed by a full-time doorman and concierge, and maintained by a live-in super. Additional amenities include laundry, bike and locker storage for an additional fee, and a massive fitness center with state of the art equipment. Pets, subletting, and pied-a-terre are all allowed.

Units in 308 Owners Corp. are spacious and modern, and range from one bedroom to three bedroom apartments. Primary bathrooms are lined with brilliant tile, and feature large vanities, medicine cabinets, and deep soaking tubs with showers heads. Most units have an equal number of bathrooms and bedrooms, and select units even have a powder room.

Living spaces almost always include an extra room of some kind, like a den or a dining room. These spaces, as well as bedrooms and living rooms, are lined with hardwood flooring. Kitchens have nice tile flooring, and come equipped with refrigerators, gas stoves, ovens, microwaves, and a ton of pantry space. Select units have dishwashers as well.

308 Owners Corp. was designed by Architect J.M. Felson, a man credited for building many of NYC art deco residential buildings, especially in the Bronx. He was born in 1886 and came to America with his family in 1888. His other works include Grand Concourse in the Bronx and 11-19 Jane Street, which has recently received landmark status as one of his earliest works.
