The Nash

222 East 39th St. was designed by Sidney Goldhammer — the same architect behind NYC’s Camelot Apartments — and erected in 1972.

Based in Murray Hill, this prime luxury building was formerly known as the Eastgate Hotel Tower. A consortium made up of Atlas Capital, Rockpoint Group and TPG cut a deal in 2012 to buy the building out of bankruptcy. A renovation followed and Eastgate’s guest rooms were converted into one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

Now dubbed “The Nash,” the 25-story building has a total of 187 units and a whole host of amenities, including a 24-hour doorman and concierge service. It also offers residents an 86-car garage, bicycle storage, rooftop deck, modern gym and a residents lounge.

Commuters may benefit from the building’s location. It’s right near the Midtown Tunnel and walking distance from Grand Central Station where the 4/5/6 and 7 trains are available.

The Nash is also situated near the United Nations, NYU Langone Medical Center, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building and Herald Square.
