Like usual, celebrities don’t sleep when it comes to real estate. For the past months, we’ve seen several transactions made by celebrities, either in the form of selling, buying, or putting a property on the market. Curious to see who has been buying, selling, or looking to sell lately? Here are just a couple!
1. Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus – Buys
Actress and former model Diane Kruger and “The Walking Dead” boyfriend Norman Reedus swept up a $11.75 million townhouse in West Village early August. The townhouse wasn’t listed on the open market according to several sources. The townhouse was built in the 1800s and is a four-story Federal-style townhouse. According to WSJ, the purchase was made under the LLC Eyeinthedark, which is named after Norman Reedus’ cat.
2. Mike Myers – Sells
Mike Myers have been having a hard time selling his second Soho apartment but finally found a buyer this August. He previously sold another Soho penthouse apartment, one floor up, for $13.2 million. Mike Myers previously tried selling both units together for a price of $21.5 million, but the penthouse sold by itself, leaving Mike Myers with the last apartment to sell. After a while on the market, the apartment has finally sold.
3. Soccer player Pelé – Sells
For those soccer enthusiasts out there, Pelé (born Edson Arantes do Nascimento) is a known legend as he’s known for being one of the greatest soccer players of all time. The Brazilian soccer player has now sold his Hampton home for $2.85 million in August. He originally purchased the property back in 1979 and was the proud owner up till this August.
4. Keegan-Michael Key – Buys
Funnyman Keegan-Michael Key, known from his hit show “Key & Peele” with comedian Jordan Peele, recently purchased an apartment in Manhattan, according to The Real Deal. The place is located in the trendy neighborhood of Tribeca and went for $5.2 million. The apartment is for Keegan and his wife.
5. Meryl Streep – On the market
While this technically isn’t a transaction, Meryl Streep has put her penthouse loft on the market for $24.6 million, reports Curbed. The actress purchased the Tribeca penthouse loft back in 2006, then for $10.13 million. If Meryl Streep sells the apartment for the asking price of $24.6 million, she will gain a profit of almost $14.5 million from the home.
